Rasmussen Reports & the Connection Between Polls and Predictions

Our partner, Rasmussen Reports, this week explored an innovative way to use our prediction community -- to predict how one of its own future public opinion polls would turn out.

Rasmussen Reports was polling 1,000 people whether the federal government should bail out the big three automakers. They asked also asked Predictify's community to predict what the response of those polled would prove to be.

You can view a video report of the results here. The results were good. Exactly 30% of those polled supported the idea of the bailout, whereas the crowd predicted that 38% would support the bailout.
